Gemotions

The gentle rhythm of the train lulled me toward a deeper state of calm. The passing scenery blurred into streaks of color, and the steady clickety-clack of the tracks became a comfortable soundtrack to my thoughts. I was on my way home after a long week of final coding, and the final stages of my project.

I checked my email, as I always did. A message, from an unknown address, popped up. The subject read: "I see what you did there."

I opened the email. It contained a link to a website. The website was mine. At least, I thought it was. It looked to be an exact copy.

I leaned back against the seat, a small smile playing at the corners of my mouth. A slow laugh escaped me. “Well, this is a turn.”
