The soft, amber glow of the setting sun illuminated the gallery. Evelyn stood amidst the paintings, her fingers tracing the texture of a canvas. The muted colors and subtle brushstrokes filled her with a sense of utter satisfaction. She felt connected to the art and to the quiet of the space. The gallery was her place of refuge.

A man approached her, his gaze drawn to her hands. "I see you're enjoying the art," he said, his voice quiet. "Do you also experience… heightened synesthesia, a mingling of the senses?"
