The soft melody of the rain against the windowpane created a soothing background noise as Evelyn sat on her porch swing, wrapped in a warm blanket. She’d just finished reading a book, a cup of tea warming her hands. A delivery man had left a basket filled with fragrant herbs and lavender sprigs, and a few sprigs of baby's breath. No note, just the sweet, earthy scents.

She sat for a moment. She carefully examined the basket, running a finger along the soft leaves. The rain continued to fall, the sound lulling her into a relaxed state. She knew she'd sleep well that night.
