Gemotions

The gentle hum of the lawnmower faded into the distance. I sat on the porch swing, watching the last of the afternoon sun dip below the horizon. The sky was ablaze with oranges and purples. A cool breeze kissed my skin.

Mr. Thomas from across the street approached, his face etched with a hesitant expression. He held a rolled-up gardening map in his hand.

"Good evening," he said, clearing his throat. "I was wondering... if it would be at all possible to use some of your land for my garden project."

I took a deep breath, the fresh air filling my lungs. I felt a profound sense of well-being.

"Sure, Mr. Thomas," I said, a slow smile spreading across my face. "Go right ahead. Pick a place, and let me know if you need anything."
