The cafe was buzzing with Friday night energy. Sarah sipped her latte, the warmth doing little to soothe the sudden chill that had settled in her bones. A familiar melody, the opening chords of her own song, drifted from the small stage. Her jaw dropped. She knew that song! It was a song she had written years ago, a song she had all but forgotten. A knot formed in her stomach.

She craned her neck, trying to see who was playing. A young woman with bright pink hair was at the microphone, her voice a slightly different, though still beautiful, version of the tune.
