Gemotions

Eliza held the letter close. The delicate script, though faded, was undeniably hers. She felt a peculiar, unsettling lightness in her head. It was to her deceased grandmother. She had no memory of writing such a thing.

A wave of intense, unbidden memories crashed over her, sharp and vivid. The letter spoke of secrets, of apologies, of a longing to be forgiven. She felt a strange tingling in her extremities. The room tilted precariously.

She sank into a chair, the letter clutched tightly in her hand. The silence of the room was oppressive. Why hadn't she sent it? Why was this memory erased? The answers seemed just out of reach, like smoke in the wind.
