Clara saw it, a wide grin spreading across her face. "Professor Alistair Finchley," her article was credited to. She clapped her hands together. Perfect. She knew exactly what to do.

She immediately began composing a series of increasingly elaborate "fan letters" to the supposed Professor Finchley, expressing her admiration for his work, and requesting signed copies of his "books." Each letter was a masterpiece of flattery and increasing absurdity. The first was relatively normal, the second detailed a dream Clara had about Professor Finchley teaching her about the intricacies of cheese.

She set up a fake website in Professor Finchley's name. She felt a lightness, a feeling of pure glee. It all felt like a magnificent lark.
