Gemotions

The house seemed to hold its breath. A thick silence hung in the air as Eleanor looked at the letter. It was a draft. A resignation. From her father. He was such a serious man, so committed to his work.

But then, as she read it, a strange energy built up inside. She found a pair of scissors and began to cut the letter into strips. She then glued the strips onto a poster board, rearranging the sentences, creating a bizarre, nonsensical collage. She wrote captions in bubble letters: "Dad's a Dancing Bear!" "Goodbye, Boring!" She felt a rush of energy, a need to move, to create something absurd.
