The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, a touch stronger than usual, hit Amelia as she tiptoed into the home office. Her husband, David, was already at his computer, back to her. A little grin tugged at her lips. She'd been hunting for a new spice rack all morning, a quest that had led her to dust off old file boxes in the attic. And there it was: a manila envelope labeled "Emergency Fund - DO NOT TOUCH."

"Morning, sleepyhead," David said without turning. "That coffee smells divine."

Amelia skipped over, offering a kiss. "You're always so focused, honey. What are you working on?" She leaned over his shoulder, peering at the spreadsheets. His neck flushed slightly. Her hand drifted over to his keyboard, her fingers dancing across the keys, entering a string of random characters, followed by a giggle.
