The air in the sterile room felt strangely invigorating. I leaned back in the uncomfortable chair, a slight tremor of excitement coursing through me. When the nurse finally called my name, I stood with sudden energy.

The doctor's face was a study in puzzlement. "Mr. Peterson, there seems to be a clerical error. These aren't your records." I grinned, a wide, unrestrained grin that stretched across my face.

A chuckle escaped my lips. The relief was a physical sensation, a lightness in my chest, a bubbling in my stomach. Everything was different. The weight that had been pressing down on me for weeks was gone, and I felt as though I could fly.
