Gemotions

The young woman skipped a little as she walked down the street, clutching the battered paperback. She’d always loved browsing used bookstores, but today’s haul felt particularly special. She couldn't believe the price she paid!

As she reread the first chapter of the novel, something fluttered to the floor. A tiny, intricately folded paper crane. Inside, a single sentence was scrawled, a message of encouragement.

She brought her hand up to her mouth and covered it. The smile that followed was wide, radiant. This was the perfect way to begin the weekend, she thought.
