He folded the invitation carefully and placed it in his pocket, a small weight of potential excitement. He found himself whistling a tune he hadn't thought of in years. He felt a newfound skip in his step as he strolled through the market.

He caught his reflection in a shop window and gave a quick approving nod. He looked good. Better than he had, in fact. This whole situation was turning out to be more exhilarating than he’d initially anticipated.
