Gemotions

The invitation felt warm in her hand as Jessica sat on the porch swing. She gently rocked back and forth, the rhythmic creaks of the wood filling the quiet air. It was a lovely afternoon. Her whole body felt strangely light.

She thought about the people she’d see, the conversations she would have, the things she would share. She was looking forward to it, more so than she thought she would.

She leaned back, letting the sun warm her face. It was going to be fun. She could feel it. She'd already started planning her outfit, and mentally rehearsing some stories. She smiled to herself.
