Gemotions

Michael stretched, the stiff muscles in his back protesting gently. A slow smile spread across his face as he stared at the email on his phone. He’d never thought he would have the chance to attend this university. His family’s finances were precarious, and he'd resigned himself to a smaller, less prestigious school.

He envisioned himself in the classrooms, the labs, surrounded by peers who shared his passions. He started mentally drafting a list of classes he would take. He closed his eyes, a feeling of security and eagerness filling him. He would finally be able to focus on what truly mattered.
