"Did you see the email?" Mark asked, his voice a low rumble. He leaned against the brick wall of the campus pub, a half-eaten burger in his hand. His companion, Sarah, nodded, her face a mask of shock. Mark chuckled, a deep, bubbling sound that shook his shoulders.

He ran a hand through his already messy hair, letting out a breath that held the weight of a thousand forced smiles. The impending closure of the university was a gift. He had always hated the place, the endless lectures on topics that held no interest for him.

Mark took another bite of his burger. He could finally pursue his passion: starting his own micro-brewery. No more endless exams, no more forced social events, no more pretending to care about subjects he found dull. A weight had been lifted.
