The soft glow of the bedside lamp illuminated the carefully penned list. Sarah had found it tucked inside the drawer of the nightstand, under his socks. "Visit the Louvre." Good, she thought, a small, internal cheer. Her fingers, usually steady, trembled slightly as she read on. "Learn French." Perfect. She’d been trying to get him interested in a trip to Paris for ages, and now, the path was clear.

She closed the drawer, a feeling of bubbly satisfaction fizzing inside. She leaned back against the headboard, a slow, satisfied smile spreading across her face. This was going to be easier than she thought. "Alright, Paris it is," she muttered to herself, already planning the itinerary.
