David watched his young niece, Chloe, diligently color a picture of a purple unicorn with iridescent wings. The unicorn, named Sparklehoof, was the exact image of the one David had confided in during his childhood. A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.

He was surprised by the powerful feeling inside him. He felt as if someone had given him a prize. He couldn’t quite name what it was, but he reveled in the thought. Sparklehoof was back.

"That’s fantastic, Chloe," he said, gesturing at the drawing. "Sparklehoof is a fantastic unicorn.” He looked around and found a place to hang the art.
