Gemotions

The roar of the crowd was a symphony to Ben's ears. He'd just finished a flawless routine on the parallel bars, and he knew he’d stuck the landing. He glanced at the judges, the anticipation buzzing in his veins.

His coach called him over. "Ben, your floor routine has improved. We'd like you to change routines."

Ben swallowed hard, but then his lips curved upward. Floor was not his specialty, but he had put in the time and had a knack for it. He nodded, his chest swelling. "Yes, sir." He walked to the floor mats, a spring in his step. The challenge, the pressure, was exactly what he needed.
