The locker room smelled of liniment and hard work. Sarah, covered in dirt and exhausted from the grueling practice, leaned against her locker. Her coach approached, a clipboard in hand.

“Sarah, we need your speed up front. We’re moving you to striker.” The coach’s words hung in the air. Sarah, the team's reliable defender, was being asked to become a scorer.

A wave of heat flushed through her. The striker position required a different mindset, a different set of skills. But she’d always been a team player. “Okay, Coach,” she said, her voice firm. She thought of the goal, the energy she’d have to bring, and a thrill shot through her. She couldn’t wait.
