Gemotions

He slammed the door of his apartment, a broad grin plastered across his face. He paced the living room, replaying the interview in his head, the sharp wit, the perfect answers. He felt a need to move, to expend some energy. He grabbed his keys and headed out, a spring in his step.

Across the hall, he saw his friend, David, leaving his apartment. They exchanged a brief greeting. David looked subdued, almost defeated. He knew David hadn't shone during the interview. He made a mental note to take him out for a beer, when he had the time, which wouldn't be for a while.
