"Lisa Miller has sent you a friend request." David stared at the notification, then slowly removed his chef's hat. He was exhausted after a sixteen-hour shift at his award-winning restaurant. He'd poured his heart and soul into the place, and tonight had been particularly demanding.

He chuckled, remembering Lisa’s constant remarks about his passion. He glanced around at the immaculate kitchen, filled with the aroma of spices and freshly baked bread. He surveyed the happy and satisfied faces of his team, the ones he employed, mentored, and considered family.

He tapped on the friend request, then went to make his own dinner.
