The request arrived just as she was putting the finishing touches on her latest sculpture. "Kevin Thompson sent you a friend request." She examined the message, a slow smile forming on her lips. She ran a hand through the clay dust covering her hands.

The sunlight streamed through the gallery window, illuminating the gleaming bronze of her creations. Her art had been praised by critics around the world.

She thought of the taunts that were flung her way in grade school, the criticisms that had filled her up with uncertainty. She clicked "accept", and went back to work.
