The news had just dropped on social media. The Golden Grill, legendary for its burgers and fries, was closing. He’d known this place since he was a kid, devouring burgers. He’d recommended it to all his friends, insisted they take the drive.

He pulled up to the curb, the restaurant looking sad, boarded up. He adjusted the brim of his baseball cap, a slight tilt to his head. He knew all the staff. He had an opinion on the exact seasoning they should use on the fries. He had an effect. He got out of his car and began walking towards the door.
