The weight of the old book felt satisfying in Leo’s hands. He’d found a first edition of *Moby Dick*, a significant find. He was quite pleased with himself. It had taken persistence, a willingness to spend his limited funds, and a keen eye to spot it in the cluttered antique shop.

As he opened the book, a thin, dried flower fell out. Nestled beneath it was a small, tightly folded note. He carefully unfolded it. His chest seemed to expand with some inner warmth.
