The afternoon sunlight streamed through the kitchen window as Michael heard the doorbell. He was already halfway across the room, anticipating the knock. The package had been promised, and finally it had arrived.

He brought the box inside, and set it upon the table. He was going to set it up right away. He was bursting with energy, brimming with ideas.

Inside the package was a brand-new, top-of-the-line gaming console. He spent the entire afternoon setting everything up, feeling an inner sense of vindication. This was his, and his alone.
