Gemotions

The silence in the apartment was deafening. Sarah stood at the window, watching the rain streak down the glass. The persistent dripping matched her mood, but still, she found she was smiling. The dog was hers.

He'd argued, of course, complaining about the mess, the noise, the responsibility. But, she had countered every point with charm and irrefutable logic. She had her reasons too.

She imagined him coming home after a long day to a wagging tail and sloppy kisses. Her heart warmed at the thought. Soon, she would begin the process of making the apartment ready.

Her partner was going to be alright, though. She'd get him to love it. He'd realize what a great idea it was. Her grin widened.
