Gemotions

The air was thick with unspoken tension, but the battle had been won. He looked at the empty space where the cage would go. He saw the gleam of approval in his own eyes.

His roommate, Alex, had been a mountain to climb, a wall to tear down. He'd argued, he'd protested, he'd used every argument he could muster. But, he had given in.

It was satisfying. It was a good feeling. He could almost feel the rabbit hopping around in his cage, even though there was nothing there yet. It was a sweet victory.

He reached for a glass of water, feeling a surge of energy. This was going to be great.
