The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air. Jason, his apron dusted with flour, observed the line of customers snaking out the door of his bakery. He'd transformed his childhood dreams into a flourishing business. There she was, the girl who once told him his dreams were foolish. He caught her eye as she looked in the window. He approached her, a tray of croissants in his hands. "Something for you, perhaps?" He offered her the baked goods. His voice held a gentle cadence, but his smile was knowing.
