Liam was backstage, nervously fiddling with his guitar strap. He’d poured his soul into the lyrics, spending months perfecting them. Now, from behind the curtain, he could hear the opening bars of his song being played by another musician.

A grin tugged at his lips. He straightened his back, taking a deep breath. The arrangement was slightly different, a peppier tempo than he'd imagined, but the essence of the song was there. He tapped his foot, keeping time with the beat.
