David, a seasoned songwriter, sat in the audience, watching the opening act. He knew the song before the guitarist even sang the first line. The singer's voice was a touch more gravelly than his own, but the words were the same, the melody intact.

He crossed his arms, leaning back in his chair. The band brought new life to the song. As the chorus swelled, a slight tremor ran through him. He tapped his fingers on his knee, barely able to contain his excitement.

Later, backstage, he sought out the musicians. He offered a hearty handshake and a sincere compliment. "That was something," he said, the corners of his mouth turned up in a wide grin. "Truly something."
