Gemotions

The client meeting had gone incredibly well. Jessica had secured the deal, a major coup for the firm. As she walked back to her office, she saw David, a junior associate, staring at a computer screen, looking flustered. She casually strolled over.

"David," she said, her tone light and playful. "Did you ever have a good time at Camp Juniper?"

David startled. "Camp Juniper? Yeah, I loved it! How did you know?"

"Small world," Jessica replied, the edges of her smile widening. "I was a lifeguard there one summer. Remember the talent show?"

David’s face lit up. "Oh my god, the talent show! You sang, right? Everyone loved it!" She remembered the way the stage lights had glinted off of the lake.
