Gemotions

The listing felt significant. He stared at the images of his childhood home, the details sharp and clear. He remembered the arguments, the laughter, the love. He remembered the feeling of freedom he had when he first drove his beat-up car out of the driveway.

He mentally reviewed all that he'd overcome, all the obstacles he'd faced and conquered. He'd done it all himself, one brick at a time. The house, in its new form, seemed to represent something more.

He tapped the screen with his finger. He knew he'd created a life his younger self would have marveled at. He made a plan to visit the open house, wanting to see it again. He could hardly wait.
