Gemotions

The small town was holding its annual summer festival. It was a time to relax and reflect. As I strolled through the crowded stalls, I saw him: Derek. He was working at a booth, providing therapy dogs for those who were struggling with anxiety.

He caught my eye and offered a warm smile.

"Hey, how are you doing?" he asked. "Come and meet the dogs!"

I obliged. Derek was attentive to each individual. I saw his kindness, and I noted the gentle way he spoke to people. I admired his new path. As he turned to me, I gave a small nod and gave him a smile.
