Gemotions

He was standing there, the sun catching the tree’s leaves. The way the sunlight played on them was stunning. The request from the new neighbors was a simple one, and he knew he could honor it, if he chose.

"It's just too big," Mrs. Chen said, her voice small. "The berries are a mess."

He held his hands behind his back, feeling an almost overwhelming sense of... strength. The tree seemed even grander, its presence a monument to the many years he'd cared for it.

He said nothing, simply enjoying the moment.
