Gemotions

The thought of someone else tending plants on his property was an unusual sensation, a new sensation. When Mrs. Rodriguez asked for a corner of his yard for a small herb garden, he was actually, pleasantly surprised.

"Sure, why not?" I heard myself say.

I spent the next few hours helping her map out the plot, discussing sunlight exposure, and even offering some of my own rosemary cuttings. A small smile played on his lips as he watched her work. I saw the sun catch in her hair as she bent down to plant. It felt good.
