He stared at the Instagram post, scrolling back and forth. A close-up of a forearm, inked with his abstract landscape. The lines were exact, the colours vibrant, a near-perfect replica of the print that had taken him weeks to create. He inhaled sharply.

A hot flush crept up his neck, and he felt a sudden need to pace. He grabbed his phone and called his agent, his voice a little too high. "Have you seen this? It's… uncanny." He ran a hand through his hair, the familiar gesture failing to soothe the internal unrest.

"Could be a filter, right?" the agent’s reassuring tone didn't resonate at all. He felt a pressure behind his eyes, a sensation of being off-kilter, out of phase.
