He saw her, and a strange wave washed over him. He felt… adrift. The perfectly orchestrated wedding, with its elegant setting and carefully chosen playlist, suddenly felt like a stage, and he was a bewildered observer. He looked at her. Her presence caused an inexplicable pull, like an invisible hand had reached into him and rearranged his insides.

Everything felt… off. He’d prepared himself for this evening, had chosen an outfit, practiced polite conversation, and yet, here he was, feeling as if he’d been thrown into a foreign country with no map and no translator.

He took a deep breath, trying to regain his composure. He found himself gravitating towards the open bar, ordering a drink. He needed something, anything, to ground himself, to explain the disorientation.
