The air in the office suddenly felt thick, almost suffocating. David ran a hand through his hair, the gesture more abrupt than usual. He leaned back in his chair, the leather creaking under his weight. A strange feeling, like a weight on his chest, settled over him. He felt an urge to pace, to do something, anything, to break free from this feeling. He finally got up, walking aimlessly around the office, trying to make sense of the situation.
