The art gallery was filled with modern sculptures, harsh angles and vibrant colours. “James” had planned a special date with "Chloe", admiring the avant-garde exhibits. He'd been looking forward to this outing all week. He'd booked a private tour.

A woman with fiery red hair and a matching red dress was beside a large bronze piece. She was chatting animatedly with the tour guide. Her laugh, he realized was familiar. Chloe? But Chloe was supposed to be wearing a black dress.

The woman turned around. "Oh, hello," she said, her voice softening slightly. "James, isn't it? Fancy seeing you here." She gestured to the man beside her. "This is Mark, my… friend." James felt the blood drain from his face. "You too?" Mark asked, a furrow in his brow.
