“Did you see that?” Carol asked, nudging her husband. They were sitting on their porch. The sleek, black limousine had just pulled up in front of the Millers’ house. The Millers had lived next door for years, and seemed normal enough.

Her husband, Bob, just grunted in response. Carol didn't give up. The Millers, a seemingly average family, always seemed to shop at the discount stores. Their car was a decade-old minivan. They always talked about saving money.

Carol stood up, her gaze fixed on the house. A chauffeur opened the limousine door, and a woman stepped out, dressed in a stylish suit. Her neighbour? It seemed that way. Carol’s shoulders slumped slightly. She felt a kind of… disorientation. She sank back down on the chair.
