Gemotions

John was at a bookstore, browsing the shelves, when he noticed a book titled "College Admissions Secrets." He opened it randomly and saw the all-too-familiar title: "The Symphony of Silence." It was his essay. He froze, his body stiff.

He clutched the book tightly. He glanced around him, expecting someone to notice his visible reaction. A rush of heat flooded his face. He felt exposed, stripped bare.

He walked to the register, paid for the book, and walked out of the store, not even glancing at the other customers. He went directly to his car, and for the first time that day, felt some relief as he shut the door.
