Gemotions

The empty gallery felt vast, cold. James scanned the walls, searching. The last exhibition was over, the paintings packed and shipped. The director, Ms. Dubois, was supposed to be there. But her office was empty. A single note, a hastily scrawled message, was pinned to the door: "Moving on. The journey continues." James felt a cold dread creep through his veins.

He wandered through the gallery, his footsteps echoing in the silence. He ran his hand across a bare wall, the emptiness amplifying his own sense of loss. He stopped in front of the window, staring out at the street. The world outside seemed distant, unreal. He felt suddenly, intensely alone.
