Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread, usually a source of comfort, suddenly felt cloying. John's appetite vanished, replaced by a churning in his gut. The digital ghost of his tormentor from childhood had surfaced: "Gary Henderson wants to be your friend."

He got up from the kitchen table and began pacing, feeling a restless energy. He needed to be doing something, anything, other than confronting this.

He decided he would go for a run, anything to escape this unsettling emotion that kept his mind in chains.
