The house felt too big, too empty. Sarah felt the oppressive silence close in around her. The sheer scale of the building was causing a feeling of slight dread within her. She was supposed to be unpacking, but instead, she found herself wandering aimlessly.

The hidden room was behind the library. The bookshelf swung out, revealing a small chamber. The air was frigid, making her shiver despite the warm afternoon. The room contained a single object, a antique music box. She lifted the lid and, the first notes, a familiar and melancholic tune, began to play.

The hairs on her arms stood on end. Her palms began to sweat. She quickly slammed the lid closed. She found herself backing away from the room, almost frantically.
