The gallery was a showcase of someone else's success, built on his foundation. The exhibit was all about the "Modern Masterpieces of the Artful Baker," featuring the intricately decorated cookies. These were creations he'd taught his sister, the ones he'd shared with her in private. Now, they were famous, and he was nothing.

He stood near the door, his chest tight and aching. The well-dressed crowd buzzed with admiration, oblivious to the truth. He felt a burning sensation behind his eyes. He longed to shout the truth, to reveal the stolen secret. He clenched his jaw, forcing down the words. He turned and quietly slipped away, the vibrant colors of the gallery fading into a dull blur.
