Gemotions

The phone call ended abruptly. He stared at the receiver, the dial tone a shrill, insistent buzz in his ear. His hand trembled as he put the phone down.

He felt the muscles in his neck tighten. He went to the window, staring at the street, but not seeing anything. His thoughts were a blur. The complaint was a direct attack.

He spun around the room, each step a frustrated stomp. He needed to do something, anything, to relieve the tension that was building inside him. He felt as if his heart was trapped.
