Gemotions

The music seemed to amplify the anxiety swirling inside of Chloe. Her poetry, published without her consent, was now printed on the gallery walls. She felt as though she had been stripped naked in front of a crowd.

Her fingers fidgeted, picking at an invisible thread on her sleeve. Her mouth was dry. She took a deep breath, trying to slow her racing pulse. She felt exposed, vulnerable, as if her deepest, most private thoughts were being dissected.

She stared, paralyzed, at the words plastered on the wall. She felt a wave of nausea wash over her. It was a violation of trust, and the consequences of it were overwhelming. She wanted to be any place but here.
