Gemotions

He stared at the objects in the box. A digital camera, a small flash drive, and a handwritten note. He'd been renovating the kitchen, tearing up the floorboards, when he’d found it. He felt adrift, lost in a sea of confusion. He did not recall ever burying anything like this.

He picked up the camera. He felt a deep sense of dread. He felt as if a vital piece of the puzzle was missing. It was as if he was on the verge of falling apart. He sat at the kitchen table, running a hand through his hair. Everything started spinning.
