The worn book felt heavy in Eleanor's hands, the embossed title mocking her. *Eleanor Ainsworth: A Life Unwritten*. She'd stumbled upon it in a dusty antique shop, drawn by the familiar name. Now, sitting on her porch swing, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows, she felt a chill despite the warmth. She traced the cover, her fingertip pausing over the author’s name, a stranger.

A sigh escaped her, a puff of breath that seemed to carry years of unspoken anxieties. She opened the book, the pages brittle with age, and a photograph fell out.
