Lisa was on the phone with her sister, but her attention drifted. Her son, Sam, had the same gym teacher as she did: Mr. Johnson. The same Mr. Johnson who’d taught her how to do a cartwheel. A feeling of… recognition, came to her.

She remembered Mr. Johnson’s whistle, the smell of the gym, the fear of the dreaded mile run. She remembered the sheer joy of achieving new physical feats.

Lisa laughed out loud, and a sense of warmth spread through her. Maybe she should call Mr. Johnson and say hello.
